No DLC for Andromeda?
Just read this on Kotaku

Maybe they had to rush ME:A to release so that it launched at the same time as the audiobook... which is why there were bugs. 😮
Seriously though, games with books or based on books are 10 times better when you read (or listen) to the books. The Witcher series is another prime example.
ME:A Nexus Uprising Audiobook is read by Fryda Wolff, so it sounds like Ryder is telling the story.
so that basically says: to see the actual intro & conclusion to mass effect andromeda, i need to purchase novels now? i know they kind of did that with ME3, and i didn't like it, but here, where the story is actually unfinished in both directions... i really don't like it.

That isn't what he said at all. He noted that some information about the Quarian Ark is in an audio book that is coming out later, which sounded like there will be a DLC for it at the least.

I don't think you 'need to purchase' novels. However, if you truly enjoy the ME Universe why wouldn't you want to?? It's more story that didn't fit in with the gameplay. I can't be critical of it because enjoy both media immensely.
Same here!
I own all the Mass Effect comics and even Paragon Lost movie ( ☹️ ). I do have a book (or two?) as well but didn't found them entertaining (maybe it is the translation).
I would consider buying ME Andromeda stuff as well, if I know there is a commitment to a part 2 (and some story DLCs).
EA / Bioware should really make some Official Announcement about the future of Mass Effect in general and specific about Andromeda.
I'm in a Mass Effect group with about 400 participants and the people are sure that it is "Official" that Mass Efecct "is done" and there will be no further Mass Effect games or DLC's. I'm quite sure there are hunderts of groups where you see the same situation.
It starts just with a rumor and than you have people who tell everybody: "It's official, I'm sure!" Even if they know nothing.
I can't imagine that is good way to treat their fans ....

You have to watch out for the bubble effect with that. If you aren't just being hyperbolic. Downsizing after the main release of a game is _normal_. Patches (such as they are) are still coming and they've circumventive suggested that they are going to keep to all commitments. One pandering report from one news site does not the end of the world make. If it was really that cut and dried, you would be hearing it from different sources with slightly different twists to it.
It's NOT my opinion. 😉 I just write what I have seen in the communities.
My personal opinion: I thing / I hope they have done the same thing as after Dragon Age : Inquisition: Moving the developer team.
I'm talking about reputation and impression. And a lot of people have the impression ME is "done" / over / death. So now they should really say / write something official. If a game reputation goes down the sales could go down, too. No matter if the rumor are truth or not ....
And I don't want that the sales goes down! If the sales goes down there will be not as many DLC's and patches! More sales - more Mass Effect for us!
