No DLC for Andromeda?
Just read this on Kotaku
Does that mean there will be no DLC either?

I want the DLC
I still believe that they haven't made a firm decision either way on DLC.
In the end, it will come down to nothing but money. If they feel there is profit to be made from DLC, then we'll get it.. otherwise they'll abandon ship.
I for one would buy DLC for Andromeda, all we can do is keep telling them that if they make it, we will buy it.
It would be nice if someone from EA would actually comment on this issue, but of course that would mean communicating with their customers and you just can't have that!
They wouldn't have bothered to make a mechanic to add content you can buy if they weren't going to sell DLCs guys. The fact you can buy things to add to your game already shows they are planning on DLCs.
Sheesh.

I'm sure you said this for a laugh, but audiobooks and even regular books get 'patched' with spelling and grammar fixes.
I'm aware, I'm a writer. Revision is almost a never ending process. ^_^

Yay! A fellow author. I only do fanfiction. And not even much of that these days.
There are a couple of others here as well who write fan fiction. I don't. When it comes to games, I'm more intertwined with mechanics design. Meanwhile, writing other things and revising, revising, revising, revising. ^_^ Meanwhile, we get a grasp of the overal game writing and create expectations and think of potentials. It leads some to write fan fiction, and others to get grumpy, like me. ^_^'

Wow, you're a genius, it totally didn't occurr to anyone that at some point DLC was planned.
Adding a mechanic to allow DLC is in no way a confirmation that DLC is coming.
Giving yourself the option to do something doesn't guarantee you'll do it. The decision on DLC will come down to one thing and one thing only.. Money.
If there is money to be made, they'll take the opportunity. If they feel it won't be profitable, they will abandon ship and it's really just that cut and dry.
If EA has made a definitive decision either way, they are going to be as quiet about it as always. EA doesn't exactly have a great history of communicating with the players and this is just status quo for them. You can look for reason in anything you wish, but in the end it's EA and it's about the money.
Same as always.

The description is interesting. In my mind, it shows that BioWare has date obligations to other distributors for spin-off material. ME:A - Nexus Uprising (Prequel) was released on the same day as the game, which shows coordination The release date for the DLC book is hard to nail down. I've seen June 27th (paperback) July 3rd Audiobook and my order date is Dec 5th audiobook.
"With a new game, Mass Effect Andromeda, set for release in 2017, the launch of a new series of Mass Effect novels is timely. The new game will take the story in a dramatic new direction and is set in a new region of space, with a new and deadly enemy.
Titan is publishing four unmissable Mass Effect novels. The novels will act as prequel and sequels to the events in the games and will become part of the overarching Mass Effect saga. These new stories, developed in close collaboration with the Bioware game team, weave directly into the action of the new game - and will reveal events kept secret over the course of game play - and will add to the canonical Mass Effect saga."
So... there is a slice of hope for you all.
'Will reveal events kept secret over the series of game play' this is BS tbh, release secrets in game form for a game or not at all! Not everyone is big on reading.. if it relates to in game important details don't put it in a * book.. even those happy to read would rather play that * then read it.
