No DLC for Andromeda?
Just read this on Kotaku
Does that mean there will be no DLC either?

Normal playthrough came first
Close to finishing a hardcore playthrough -- made it a personal challenge: single profile (soldier), concussive shot / omni-grenade / turbocharge only
Now that 1.06 fixed quest item transfer (which shouldn't have happened because the transferred items messed up the quest progressions [movie night for example]), next I'll be trying it on hardcore NG+
I'm not shelving this for a while ^^''
Im checking out the 'improved' early cutscenes at the moment. Not giving EA anymore money but a couple of hours ago I decided to at least keep enjoying what we do have. At their expense while I play MP and buy nothing.
P.S. had to start a new game anyhow so my Ryder can get her new threads since I have the delux

i really only trust zero punctuation, and the angry joe show for reviews. as for the most part they have the same opinion i do about most games.
Angry Joe is too populist for my taste. He pretty much always falls in line with the most popular opinion about something. Like he did for this game. And tends to do the "if you don't agree with me you're an idiot" thing half-jokingly which is really irritating. I prefer totalbuscuit, his honesty about the feelings he felt in reviewing this game and the pressure he felt from popular opinion were incredibly refreshing.

then i must be easily influenced, or something. as i have to agree with most of his reviews, not all, but most. though i guess some opinions are popular for a reason.

Agreed. Angry Joe is spot on. I remember he was one of the first to point out at the clusterf**k ME3 ending.
If you look past the comedy (which is usually fun) he have solid points, he is legit.
i do pay attention to total biscuit, as i do love that cynical brit... in another thread i mentioned one of his vids was the main reason i stayed clear of a lot of ME3 dlc, if only i watched it before purchasing from ashes. though, that game was seriously lacking a party vanguard, so you kind of needed javik to properly fill out the party.
if they do take a break and make another one later maybe they should do a slight time skip have civilization begin in earnest your no longer a settler but a citizen have ryder mature a bit get her/his bearing though i guess people would complain that they didn't get to see the road to this new ryder :D
Can't read the article .... ☹️ ... can read it now ... I hate it, when they force me to disable the Add-Blocker.
THANKS for the link.
EDIT: So ..... probably a few DLC's for Andromeda 1, but NO Andromeda 2 in the next 4 years? Right?
Taking a break is a mistake. If they don't keep this going now if/when they ever get back to ME it wont be andromeda and the answers we want/need for this series. Its also likely they'll just never get back to it at all.
In anycase, I am done with EA until such time as this is resolved.
That means - no more purchasing crystal subs and other various items in galaxy of heros.
No more SWTOR sub on my other origin account.
No more games period. I sure will not be touching this new IP either. Or future Dragon Age games. If EA drops ME im done with them and I doubt I will be the only one who is. Gone too far this time.
The next thing I want to buy from EA is a MEA dlc or expansion. Until I get it they get nothing from this long term customer.

Again, maybe.
Cleaning up this release is a good idea regardless.
Letting some time pass before they add to it, to take in some feedback and choose a direction, especially after the initial reactions, doesn't seem like a horrible idea to me. There's *plenty* there to pick and choose from, good and bad, and I think over time, especially if they continue to squish the bugs and polish the rough spots, the game will benefit from people remembering the good bits and forgiving the bad.
ME1 I had all of two romance options, the combat was lukewarm, the Mako was... the Mako, banter nearly nonexistent, and the loading screens took forever to show me endless reiterations of rooms/halls with boxes. Yet I remember it fondly. 🙂
I'll have better memories of ME:A.
I also thought that at least the Quarian ark was set up to be last minute DLC.
