The appearance of the Turians in MEA annoys me a lot!
I love Turians and yeah the faces look plain and "not deep enough"
Also the legs changed a lot :/
Regarding the Archon. I know what you mean with the baby face proportions. When we first see Archon on Habitat 7 when he tries to redo what Alec did, he just looks cute.
I was like "I know you are the bad guy, but hun I will help you. Don't worry sweetheart!" That's not a good first thought to have about the main enemy :D

I can relate. My first impression upon him was of complete innocence. I almost thought it fit him: the pure curiosity of something. Why would he look cruel? Anyway, he's gotten the best facial animation in the whole game. Kudos for him.
Maybe the point with the Kett is that the bad guys don't always have to look 100% evil, to be evil. Also maybe not all of them agree with exaltation but are victims of their society.
It will be interesting to see what comes of them in the future.
Still, even an attractive human can be evil. I would even like to see them step out of the 'evil race has to be ugly *' trope, to me the Kett still look pretty ugly.
