[Old Report] "We've noticed your computer is currently offline"

Hey there, I just purchased this game on Steam, and I'm getting the error message that is on the attached photo.

(Just in case, it says "We've noticed your computer is currently offline. To activate your game on this computer using your EA Account, you'll need to connect to the Internet")

I'm connected to Origin, which is online as I was able to download Apex updates. I'm also currently online on Steam, not that I think that would affect it in any way.

Furthermore I've already restarted my computer, as well as cleared my Origin cache. 

Running it in administrator spits out the same error message above. Same with booting the individual .exe files.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!


System specs:

Windows 10

AMD Ryzen 5 3600

32 GB DDR4 RAM

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070

    Well that's nice.  Decided to play for the first time (never played the original releases) and came just in time for this.  Gives me a lot of hope for the state of the game lol

    I agree I think it must be a issue with origins right now cause I was playing BF2042 and just tried to launch and I'm having the same error. Something must be up thats apart from us.

    Edit: Just tried playing Apex, same issues with all my games I think this has to be a problem with origin at the moment.

    Same problem here, this is recent. I was playing a few hours ago and everthing was ok.

    I know you asked OP, but for me, it's ME:LE.   Purchased through Steam.  Origin appears to be recognizing it (it's showing in my library there, indicating that it's a steam game), but... "We've noticed your computer is currently offline"

  • This is also a mistake. Only in Russian for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

  • @Angelic1Beast Im having the issue. Is it apex or Origin??? Have you tried starting other origin games? I tried playing games from other platform and it was working fine. That error message popped up only when i tried to play Apex.
  • @Angelic1Beast Yeah been having the same problem. Downloaded the game just a little while ago, tried launching it using both origin and ea app, but that error pops up.
  • Same error.

    Steam & Origin both running in administrative mode.  Tried launching the game from each application, same error.

    Tried launching the Launcher and ME1 directly as admin with both Steam & Origin already running in administrative mode, same error.

    Rebooted, ran through the cache clearing and all the tangled mess of suggestions I've found here.
