We have seen some reports of strange issues around controls. A fairly common factor is non-controllers (like joysticks) being picked up by the game. Disconnecting any unnecessary USB devices might help with troubleshooting this, if that's a factor for you.

My controller is wireless and has nothing attached to it. So I don't think that is a resolution for me.

Hi David,
I currently play Mass Effect Andromeda via the latest EA App and Xbox One controller, and it seems that the issue is still persistant. The controller itself is connected via my Laptop's internal Bluetooth adapter (no additional USB dongles plugged in). Can you eventually recheck on this issue, please?- holger14057 hours agoHero+

Most of the time such issues occurring because a second input device is interfering no matter the connection.
This also could be a mouse, a drawing pad, really about any input device possible.
Do you have such devices connected wile you play?
Did you tried to connect the Xbox One controller via USB to see if it makes a difference?
