PC - Normandy Elevator Freeze ME3

Hello. I'm currently attempting to replay Mass Effect 3 (to tide me over until ME: Andromeda). I'm at the point where I am able to roam the Normandy for the first time, but the Elevator menu screen doesn't do anything. It seems to be frozen or loading forever, but I'm unsure what to do. It worked fine the first time I played the game (I had no issues with the gameplay), but this time it doesn't seem to even show my cursor when I move my mouse. I managed to get it to click on OPEN when trying to access the elevator, but then nothing happens afterward. I also tried to access the galaxy map then exited out of the map and tried to use the elevator again; once again, nothing. Is there something I can do to correct that?  I apologize if this has already been asked, but I didn't see this as an issue for PC (only PS3 and XBOX 360). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
