[PC] Mass Effct 2 will not launch

Hi! I bought ME2 on steam a while back and started playing it about a week ago. Since downloading it, the game has worked fine and launched without issue, but today and yesterday when trying to launch the game, it doesn't work. Clicking "play" through Steam prompts EA to prepare the game as usual, with the pop-up minimising as though the game is about to launch, but it never does. Then I just get taken back to my EA downloads library and the game never launches. 

NOTE: This is standard ME2 with DLC. This is not Legendary Edition. 

- I have uninstalled and reinstalled ME2. 

- I have verified game files on Steam. 

- I have tried launching the game through EA. 

- I've also tried launching the game through the game files.

    @ii33y__ 

    • Make surre Steam and EA app are closed.
    • Disable the internet connection of your PC.
    • Go to your "C:\Users\<Your User Name>\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 2" folder.
    • Move the "Save" folder to your desktop. (The folder must be gone from the original path!)
    • Test the game.

    If that don't helps please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.
