[PC] This game will not run in a virtual environment

Same problem. Surface Book 2, EA App, trying to run Mass Effect 3. Same "virtual environment" error. This needs to be the TOP PRIORITY for ea to fix. Worked fine for years and years before the EA App was introduced.
