If roughly 70% of the dialogue is unintelligible without subtitles, I'd definitely start by repairing the game to make sure you don't have any corrupted files causing issues.
For Origin that's just done by right-clicking the game tile in your library and selecting the Repair option.
If you're playing on Steam, you'll want to right-click the game and select Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files...
Aside from that, are you using speakers or headphones when playing?
Thanks for the quick reply. I have done verified the software integrity through steam and reinstalled it 3 times each. I've tried it on different listening devices and the issue persists. I was hoping that there is some system adjustment I could make to the audio in my computer or within the game. Thanks
PS, I am an avowed luddite. I struggle with technology. This is one of the first games in years that ive played.

Is the volume simply too quiet to hear, or are you saying the audio is somehow garbled or distorted as well?
Within the game, the only audio options would be the sliders to adjust the different volumes for each category individually. Afraid there's not many more options to be had aside from these when it comes to the game audio.
The audio is too quiet and the in game audio is turned all the way up .
