powers not working. in game (mass effect 3)

Sorry to hear about your problem.  If you're lucky a simple re-load from a previous save will clear this.

Alternatively, someone else may have encountered the same thing and figured-out a work-around.

But the AHQ is for "player-to-player" technical self-help and game-play discussions.

The same happened to me. I opened my squad menu and found my powers had reset. I just redistributed my points and everything was fine.

I know this is old but was this ever figured out im having this issue now...

Has this been figured out by now? because it's doing this to me on every single mission and I don't get my skill points back

so my powers are gone when I start a mission and I don't get any of my skill points back so I won't be able to get as many powers as I should

I've played through the game about 5 times (to 100% completion) so I have a specific setup for my powers I'm comfortable with and I need every one of them, so this is quite a big issue for me

Do you use any Mods?

Do you tried to repair the game? (Possibly installed Mods would get deleted.)

Did you tried a Save Game made before the issue started?

No, I do not use any mods, never did and probably never will (unless it's a graphics mod, in that case I might think about it at some point)

And I just freshly installed the game again after not playing it for nearly 2 years, so the files should be in perfect condition.

And I don't have a save file from before the issue since it already began in the introduction mission (the reaper invasion of earth) so I'd have to restart the entire playthrough, which I don't want to do since I've already played 8 hours in this playthrough

I have to admit I wasn't expecting an answer here so soon, even if it probably won't help me, it's still nice to see that people care.

And I do want to mention that the game no longer resets all my skillpoints, which has been the case since I changed one of my powers in the med bay. I believe I was using carnage before, but after switching it out for a different power it no longer resets my points (I'm not sure which power it actually was, since it's currently 4 in the morning for me and I'm typing this on my phone, so I can't check, but I am pretty sure it was carnage) although it didn't bring back my lost skill points

Try the repair. Even newly installed games can have corrupted files. 

I just had it run the repair, it checked all files related to the game (and by that I really mean all of them, it even went throught the soundtrack and the digital book thingies) and it found no errors. even if it had found any I couldn't have checked if it fixed the issue since, as I said earlier, the issue no longer occurs for me since I removed carnage from my power list and replaced it with something else

You could move Carnage back to the Powers and test. 🙂
