Re: Can't find last memory trigger - Seeking advices how achieve it

The memory quest has many triggers on the worlds, as you have stated. All of them are shown on the map, as far as bugs allow. But the quest itself requires you to keep listening to what the memory unlocks in SAM's node, also, some interaction with your sibling, as both of you sort of 'unlocks' something else together by talking about some events past, you see. These things are usually referenced in your quest log ("Talk to your sibling" etc.) and the last part of this quest requires you have access to the Cryo Bay, so it won't trigger after beating Meridian.

In a site, there's this clue, and I think it's very straightforward:

"The westernmost trigger is located in a cave below the tall stone column. The entrance to the cave is just to the south of the map marker, and the trigger is in a cavern with a Fiend so enter with caution."

  • There are two memory triggers in Havarl that don't show on the main map (one is at the third tower and the second is at the top of the Sage's base). So you might want to double check those locations.

  • Just one little hint, in previous playthroughs SAM will inform you that your last memory will be unlocked when certain conditions are fulfilled.  That condition is the awakening of your sibling.  In the last playthrough after the patch, I dont get that information from SAM.  So if you are as forgetful as I am, you could forget all about the last trigger.  So once you speak with your sibling that just woke up, make sure you go to sam node, even if he doesnt tell you to do so.

Loaded a save back from Eladeen, and I confirm all 3 wasn't triggered and was shown on global map. In my current play I don't have any so I got a bug or I get them all 3 already. Thanks for the effort for the cave on Eladeen but clearly it's not my problem.

For Eos and Voeld, I read also a clear mention for both planets all 3 was shown on global map.

This let Havarl and Kadaren, I want be sure for those two they are all shown on global map and then I got a nasty bug.

You can cycle maps (bottom right) and I think they are shown on those other maps. Moreover I remember have quote them. A quick travel spot is on Sage base so it's easy check.

I also remind this other trigger bizarrely located. And I also think it should be seen by cycling maps. I doubt you got my problem but thanks and I'll check.

EDIT: Load an old save and I confirm that all 3 triggers are shown on cycling maps of Havarl. When selecting the quest each map level concerned is even shown. So as I suspected you didn't found my problem.

Yeah, that's difficult to pinpoint now. I had to issues with them in my very first playthrough. Found all of them, unlocked what needed to be unlocked. Even those from Havarl, if they were not on the map, I happened to find them, but I really don't recall how I ended up finding them, aside the fact that I was exploring everything tip to toe. So I might have been accidentally successful, and there were no patches back then, so I can't give a feedback if anything changed regarding that to me. ^_^ Just mind you have to find all your way to it before going to Meridian.

Just checked from a save, they are shown all three on global maps of Havarl (it's cycling maps).

The most painful way is to retrace each of them. There are supposed to be 15 of them. And hope your quest is not bugged. I don't recall complaints of bugs on this quest though.

Ok I'm progressing, when loading old save before Eos and then landing on Eos, only two memory locations are shown on global map.

It's quite possible that is where is the missing trigger.

    The problem is I read a guide quoting they are shown all 3 on global map of Eos;

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-05-19-mass-effect-andromeda-memory-triggers-locations-ryder-family-secrets-4827

Either the guide is wrong either I have the bug is since very beginning of the game. I'll check deeper the guides about Eos. Cycling maps still show only 2.

From a guide, triggers of Eos:

Location: Site 1: Promise : The second memory trigger can be found on Eos, on the edge of the cliff overlooking Site 1: Promise. After finding it, SAM will tell you that finding more of these memory triggers will unlock Alec’s stored memories.

    Location: Kett Base
This memory trigger is located on a cliff on top-north side of the facility, underneath a forward station.

    Location: Prodromos

This memory trigger is right next to August Bradley in the center of Prodromos.

The one I don't see in gobal Map is Promise site. Now I need find some video showing very clearly where it is in hope it's there even if not shown in global map.

I load an old save from first play, and again on Eos there's only 2 triggers shown on map.

It smells last updates added a crappy bugs.

Bugs you pinpointed it, quite obviously one added by last updates, sigh.

So Eos only 2 are shown on map, from 2 plays, one very soon, another after landing first time on planet. I load my current save and tried check all cliffs around Promise site, and found nothing, so gave up.

I got a huge amount of bugs at second play, one more, but this one is more than nasty, now I'm up to find some let's play showing what that game stole me. Hate this game (at this second, not in general)

From what you said, this is the one on the Promise site it's missing. Generally, this is the first one I would pick, before Radiation cleans up a bit.

Image result for MAP EOS MASS EFFECT ANDROMEDA MEMORY SHARD

This map, on the top side of it, there's a red * beside G1. If I'm not much mistaken, that's the place you find the memory shard above.

And yes, a bit annoying have new added bugs every now and then and you are never sure if you'll be able to play a clean game for once. I'm on a hiatus since April 7th, waiting more and more patches, until I feel like trying one last time. But I'm actually intending to wait until September or October to try again. ^_^

Thanks a lot for all the effort to help.

That far from Promise? Then the trigger was shown on map.

I joined to this post a snapshot of Eos global map when loading an old save of same character. The quest is selected and only two triggers are shown on map. Do you know what is missing?

EDIT: Ok the trigger at Prodomos site isn't shown, I think I triggered it in my current play, not shown but did it anyway.

So I had 2 bugs about those dam memory triggers, can't believe it.

Podromos isn't established, so the third one there will not appear until you finish the vault and set up the outpost.

Ok thanks but in my current play, Prodomos is build, and trigger not on map. But I think I remind have trigger it in this play.

    So the bug is elsewhere.

I had to watch a let's play to reduce a little the irritation and frustration from the * bug, could help some other unfortunate:

Very well done, but rude in English. If I get it well there isn't a single explanation about the murder? Expect a vague hypothesis that the mysteious beneficer did it for some obscure reasons. otherwise the incompetent dev steal me a part in game that would have been great, on a let's play it's much more tedious, and now I know all.

thank you broken arms dev. :=)

    Don't mention it.

Yeah, it's not really in the premises of Site 1, it's nearby.

Hmm, from what I see there, the next memory shard appears on Prodromos, which is not on the map, yet. I think the map you have there is before you have Prodromos Outpost, right? The Prodromos Memory Shard is just behind the Major. You can see it here. See the Red * beside the number 04? That's one that's not on the map you show up there.

Perhaps maps will update once Radiation clear a bit, after you leave the planet and do a bit more of the main story quest.

Thanks, nothing with character level 48, I think I triggered it already. And had a bug elsewhere but enough with this * I give up and already watched a let's play.

Don't sweat it. If you happen to play another time in future, try tracking this quest as you go. Anyway, the results of it in the end of MEA are around another cliffhanger, more things to keep you wondering about. ^_^

No the let's play show all, I already know all already, and won't bother do such * collect quest anymore if I ever replay the game a third time.

If I forget the bug, it's, in my point of view, rather lame to require collect them all, bad boredom design. For the player type I am, I can imagine some other will find it cool.

Perhaps I shouldn't have watch the let's play, but it was the best writing of all the game keep unfinished, very frustrating.

The one that isnt actually on the map on Havarl is right near a quest so thats probably how. I found it as I was exploring too so wasn't missing any at the end
