Additionally you can apply a temporary fix for LAA patch the Mass Effect.exe file to allow use of more than two gb of ram, see if that will prevent the game from crashing, however this may be ineffective due to biopawn collisions which have nothing to due with swap address crashes. the LAA patch can be found here: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/attachment.php?s=c8cee3b4b64c5e6db630775da1b15062&attachmentid=34392&d=1269231650
Good luck future users who come across this issue and please post if you find anything on biopawn crash fix.
Making changes in the ini files can cause this error, I used to get this error all the time during cutscenes recently, especially when spacing through them, but I seem to have fixed it now:
what I did:
1 verified game files.
2 defragmented game folder.
3 stopped running msi afterburner.
It seems the game is sensitive to OSD software hooking into the graphics, like fraps, or other software that hooks into rendering and displays fps etc, also steam/origin overlay could be a cause, but I have it disabled already.
The game was rockstable when it came out, but I suspect newer graphics drivers are not as compatible with it anymore, like Nvidia drivers.
