When the game crashes i have to end it in task manager
- There are errors related to the Graphic system in your DxDiag. - Follow this manual to the letter to cleanly uninstall all NVIDIA components.
- Install the graphics driver and GFE. > Go online.
- Test.

- Neeedles5 years agoRising TravelerSeems like it was MSI Afterburner's fault, turning it off solved the issue, thanks.

 Hello,
i have the same issue, your answer didnt helped me. It runs a little bit better but the game crashed later on Eden Prime...- My DXDiag is attached.
- So you already clean installed the driver? - Try to repair the game.
(Origin > Game Library > right click MELE > Repair)
(Steam > Game Library > right click at MELE > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)
- I have the exact same issue as these guys. I've tried reinstalling my Nvidia drivers through their app, and verifying game files through steam. I've attached my DxDiag if that helps. It only happens on this mission so far for some reason.
- Did you followed the instructions in post #6 to clean install the graphic driver? - If not please do so, there are many graphic related errors in your DxDiag.
- I just tried the clean install, issue still persists. I've attached my latest DxDiag to this post. Do you have any other ideas I could give a shot?
- Do you have any problems with other games? - Please also verify the game file in Origin. - If that don't helps preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode. - Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and also Afterburner and similar software is disabled. - Make also sure that your GPU & CPU are not overclocked.
- No other games have problems I've noticed. I tried the clean boot environment, I got about 3/4 through the mission and the crash started happening again. I've attached the dxdiag to this message, do you guys have any other ideas? Thank you for all the help so far!
- Make sure Origin and Steam are closed.
- Go to your "<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME3\BioGame" folder.
 (Steam: <drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME3\BioGame" )
- Delete the "Config" folder.
- Test.
 - Also, your Windows build is still Build 19041, (that will lose support in December) it should be at least 19042, normally 19043. - Are you blocking windows updates on purposes?
- That did it, I finished the mission! Thank you so much! Out of curiosity, what did that do exactly? - No, I was not intentionally stopping Windows updates. Should I be doing something beyond the update prompt at shutdown?

Search manually for updates and see if a feature update (To build 19043) comes up.
Then see if it installs correctly.
- sabrielhanekawa5 years agoSeasoned NewcomerHello, I have the same problem. However, the game crashes not only during cutscenes or dialogues, but also in combat. Initially, the problem was repeated during the dialogue with Liara about the prothean, but I followed all the steps that I found on EA forum and went into the fight. Now the game is crashing on it. What I have done so far: - updated all drivers and done all system updates in Windows Update, - repaired game in Origin & Steam, - reinstalled the game, - switched off V-sync in Nvidia option, - switched off V-sync in game, - uninstalled all programs to monitor GPU & CPU, - switched off my antivirus. With new graphics drivers, it always performs a clean install via GeForce Experience. Similar problems occurred with ME2, but restarting the game solved them. I attach DxDiag file. I will be grateful for help.

Initially, this issue appear in a dialogue with Liara about prothean, but I performed all solutions that I found on EA forum and this allowed me to move on to the battle, but that's it - now nothing helps. What have I done so far: - upgraded graphic drivers (performs a clean installation every time via GrFoce Experience) and all Windows drivers with Windows Update, - repaired the game in Origin & Steam, - reinstalled the game, - switched off V-sync in Nvidia configuration, - switched off V-sync in ME3, - uninstalled all programs to monitor GPU & CPU, - switched off antivirus program. - Ok - encountered the same problem
it has notihing to do with your pc - it is a knowen bug from dlc release which EA doesnt seemse to care
 - make sure to disable any programs that influence your GPU - like msi afterburner or any other overclocking
 - then RUN through the mission until the lift and con with liara- - make sure to save after every cutscene - just in case - - make sure just in case to spam the command screen (shift) and/or ESC after every conversation
 - after that DO NOT watch the memory with the opening sequence first (forward after the first battle)
 - DO watch the signal memory first (right after the first battle) then go back and watch the other one
