Re: Elevated Black Levels During Pre-rendered Cutscenes Since 17/5 Patch (HDR Only?)

I am happy to report, after today's patch, the pre-rendered cutscenes are back to normal on ME2, with no more elevated and odd black levels. At least, this is the case in HDR. I haven't checked the other games but I see no reason they wouldn't have been fixed as well.

@Wiz13688 I am running with HDR with an HDR1000 monitor (Asus PG35VQ). I have not tested SDR.
  • @krismateCool, Same here using both a CG437K and a FV43U. Just finished patching and did the ME2 intro again and it looked so much better

Minor, but after today’s patch (6/7), ME1 relay loading screen in SDR has bad raised blacks now, which wasn’t an issue before. Not as noticeable in HDR at least.

@krismate  I’ve just started ME3 and I can confirm that the cutscenes do not have elevated black levels. What a relief! And what a difference! Also because the cutscenes are longer than in ME1 and 2 (so far, at least) and it would have been bad to actually watch a black movie. Thanks EA and thanks krismate for opening the topic!
