(and what files do i backup so i dont have to download 10 gigs again?)
You need to back up the ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame" folder.

......ok
i just spent all day fixing the game back to default (thanks to worst internet ever) and its still doing it
What did you do, clean installation or game repair?
Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

thank you for replying!! i was starting to wonder lol
i did a game repair, since i have slow internet id rather not download the whole game all over again. but i guess i did anyway.
my pc is a year old but meets the requirements, but i attached the file anyway.
even after the repair it is still giving me this glitch, with no mods activated :/
OK there is nothing in your DxDiag that would explain this error.
From your screenshot It seams that the game can't load certain textures. (it is still the same problem as in this screenshot?)
First close Origin completely > go to your "Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame" folder and move the "Config" folder to your desktop. > test the game.
If that don't works try a different save game, a save game that was made before the one you use now, or one before you started the DLC.
If you don't have another save close to the end of the DLC, I would suggest to replace the DLC files first.
To do that, close Origin completely > go to your ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\DLC" folder and delete the "DLC_EXP_Pack001" folder.
Then start Origin and download the Leviathan DLC again > test.

sorry was busy all day yesterday
moved the config folder, same thing
the ships loads fine all other times except after the dlc ending
Did you tested the other points?

it took me a good 3-4 hours to download so i'll have to get back to you on that one lol ☹️
No problem, take your time, I will be here.

ok re downloaded, deleted all mods and excess dlcs
a cut scene happened.. it was uhhh not the right one
Spoilerit was the same cut scene as after the cerberus attack on the citadel? which i had already done?
this save is at the end of the game, ready for the final battle
so im not sure if it finished lol. looked under alien, should leviathan be listed as a war asset? Edit: Before you preform the clean installation, please make a screenshot of your ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\DLC" folder and post it here
On this point it is clear that there are severe problems with your game files.
You can try another game repair, this time the downloaded data should be significant lower then the last time.
But if that don't works I am afraid that only a completely clean reinstallation of the game will solve this problem.
If you do this, make sure that you backup the vanilla game files after reinstallation as described above.
