@sweetpoison0011 Thank you. Also the main reason I never played Andromeda is because I read nothing but negative review about it saying it had nothing to do with the original story. Plus my husband told me Bioaware realized it wasn’t the biggest hit with everyone and that they will be eventually working to correct their mistakes from it.

While it's no longer Shepard's story, I did appreciate all the references Andromeda had hidden away if you dug through the story. There are a few callouts that made me miss the old crew for sure.
This trailer was such a fantastic tease for the feeling they were going for with Andromeda and I still get goosebumps listening to Jennifer Hale's voiceover.
Personally I found a lot to like about Andromeda even if it didn't quite fire on all cylinders, but seeing Liara in the teaser for the next game absolutely got me hyped. I'm ready for more!

Felt bad after playing it though, the game is not as bad as the reviews are saying and for sure worth more than £12 that I paid. It's just another story in ME and I had fun playing it (with few mods). You can give it a try.

I might one day.I honestly don’t play a ton of games. I just played this one cause my husband wouldn’t stop talking about it. Glad I listened
I personally liked ME:A and other than a few issues with graphics, to me it is a solid game. Can things be improved...yeah, it reminded me much of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and that game like ME:A is large with much filler content. I would have preferred a bit tighter story, less love interests, and more individual development.
As far as the next ME with Shepard and the Milky Way, well, I wish Bioware would leave it alone and NOT go there. To me they wrote a story that basically finished the Milky Way for future content without some pretty major rewriting, and to me that is fine. I would much prefer another Andromeda game...but I think that ship has sailed. Personally, I would have much preferred that Andromeda had started with waking up on the Nexus and have all the events up to the first ship arrival be the first game. Have ME:A be the second game and continue the story, again with less people, and more individual development...less people being less teammates and love interests with more time with each they have left.

@mcsupersport Huh, I didn’t think about all that but those are some good points. It’s true that there are a lot of characters and too many love interests. Individual development can go a looooong way in games. I honestly am not expecting a whole different galactic battle to take place or anything like that. You’re right those get old real quick. But the story with the characters was soooooo catching I don’t want it to end! I just want one more game where Shepard comes back, they all have a big party, and then we can have fun adventures with the characters. (And Shepard and Garus get married and have a baby. Sorry I’m a romantic) Maybe they’d be searching the cosmos for surviving Geth and Reapers to get rid of or something.
I know not EVERYONE hated MEA, so they could do something to revive it maybe. But MA4 first!

Mass Effect Andromeda's faults were very memeable, with things like wonky animations and some questionable dialog here and there ("my face is tired"), so being overly critical of this game was considered both very easy and very funny to do. I personally think it's a good game. It never reaches the same heights as the trilogy, but the criticism is a bit overblown.
If you don't play a lot of games, as you said, don't feel like you'll miss out by skipping it. I like it, but I don't consider it a must-play game.

@Fred_vdp Good to know. I know people do tend to over emphasize reviews some times, but these seemed pretty feasible. “My face is tired?”😂🤣😂
Nah, I’m a big story fan so I’ll just stick with the original
There's much to enjoy in Andromeda, but it's not the trilogy.
Like the Star Wars prequels and sequels aren't the original SW trilogy.
Like sequels to blockbuster movies sometimes struggle.
But if you like the universe, it's a further slice of it, if judged on it own merits.
- sweetpoison00114 years agoSeasoned Ace@SofaJockeyUK Andromeda was never meant to be part of original trilogy. Different galaxy and about 600 later. As a bright side, all that time was wise spent: now the characters can jump 🙂 It's a much faster evolution than what happens in star wars and how long took them to finally use wheels on vehicles.
I can only guess that Andromeda was meant to be a different chapter (trilogy perhaps) on Mass Effect universe. - CoolCatsCrochet4 years agoNot applicable
Could be. Though from everything I’ve heard everybody didn’t care for it near as much
- sweetpoison00114 years agoSeasoned Ace@CoolCatsCrochets That is the result of very aggressive negative reviews. It was like someone got paid to run this campaign (or didn't got paid to be fair). For me playing Andromeda was the turning point where IGN went to the bottom of trustworthy reviewers list (and they still make paid reviews which have nothing to do with the game quality).

Ah, yes, the always present naysayers. That sadly is something that will always be around. And I will admit I didn’t dive too deep into the review source. I think I was just mad that they made another ME game before making ME4.

Am I interested in the next ME game? Yes, but I am also weary as the Bioware new President state of things stated that the LE was overwhelmingly positive received and that they are aiming for that same caliber of content I can't help but look at this forum and think to myself that may not be ideal (though the LE is leagues better then the GTA T).
