I am having this problem, but with a downloaded copy from Amazon (it was on sale). The problem is with the first time configuration utility, it opens and immediately stops working, giving a similar error message. This is not installed through origin, at no point did the download say I needed to get it onto origin and I cannot seem to install the game onto origin anyway. Any help?
