Oh my gosh-golly-gumdrops! It worked. You are the best, most awesome, most wonderful human in the galaxy.

I spent DAYS trying to figure this out. You have made my day, my week, my month and possibly my whole year.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

  • I have been havingg the same issues as above, with the notable exception that I DO NOT have any special characters in my PW.

Just the standard minimum one capital letter, and number that EA insists is mandatory in the pw.

I have DL the game in steam.

    Activated the Codes in Origin

DL'd the DLC in Origin that I have access to, including seeing that Cerberus Network is Installed properly.

The only "DLC" that seems to be active is the freaking blood dragon armour. Nothing else is working, I followed every step I could find, I made sure that the game is properly installed on Steam, got the verification on Origin. But this freaking Cerberus Network stuff has me completely flummoxed. I went to that page that was linked for the free stuff, but it still hasn't activated. And the Network STILL says there is incompatibility between my pw and email address. When like I said above, there is no special character. Just the minimum requirements for the EA password to pass muster on Origin and the website.

Im close to just calling it and doing a vanilla playthrough but I feel cheated and like I wasted a ton of money on these games over the years.

    Do you use any Mods?

Any special characters in the E-Mail? (apart from the @ of course.)

Make sure your the game is recognizing any letter you actually type, sometimes it is not recognizing keyboard input of certain keys.

You also could tray to change your EA password to something short for testing purpose.

If it works with the shorter password it would rule out a account issue.

  • Apparently my original pw was at least 1 character too long for Cerberus Log in.

This is actually frustrating and the pure silliness baffles the mind. Thanks for the pw change suggestion to something shorter.

Im going to bang my head against a wall now.

Well, it is a 10 years old game. 😉

Such things almost never get fixed, I assume developers are just afraid to break the login process completely.

If you use two factor authentication your account security should not by affected.

I've got the same issue here- DLC are not getting verified. I already changed my password to something shorter, almost as short as possible, but that doesn't help.

Any special characters in the E-Mail or password?

Did you checked that the game is recognizing any letter you actually type?

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Yes, the game recognizes the characters and I do not use any special characters in either my email, or my password. I also don't use mods, as I have just updated the game a little while ago. The mods I formerly used were the texture updates from ALOT, but they don't work after you update the game.

I should clarify: My problem is not yet solved. I keep getting the same error that it cannot verify any of my DLC.

Yes actually, it doesn't automatically log me in- but I can manually log in. After doings so however, I try to load my game and it gives the error message again that it cannot verify my DLC.

    @Memezeek

What DLCs exactly are not getting verified?

The Cerberus network DLCs or others?

Do you own the ME2 DLC bundel?

I do not own the DLC bundle, but I do own all of the DLCs. Origin also tells me that every single one of them is installed- including Cerberus Network. I bought all the DLCs seperately, back in the day.

    @Memezeek

Then I would assume that parts of ALOT remain in the DLCs folders, but the DLLs that are needed to get the DLCs verified if they are changed by a mod are missing.

Try to repair the game. (in Origin > Game Library > right click ME2 > Repair)

I'm currently repairing the files- this might take a bit. I'll get back to you right after it's done!

I have repaired all the files and tested the game- I still get an error message saying that it can't connect to the ME2 servers, but for some reason I can now load my old game files with all DLC intact and working. Question: considering how ALOT never gave me any issues before and is technically only a texture update, is there any reason why it wouldn't work now? Or maybe you have some tips for using ALOT?

Regardless- many thanks for your help! ALOT or not I can at least play the game now!

    No, I see no reason.

But it is always a good idea to start modding at a complete vanilla game.

This should be the case after a game repair, but if you not 100% sure you should do a complete clean re-installation of the game.

(Making a back up of the vanilla game will speed up the process of purging errors very much.)

Clean re-installation means also that you also get ride of the ME2 folders under "Documents\BioWare". (Move the "Mass Effect 2" folder from under "Documents\BioWare" to a save place outside the "BioWare" folder so you have a backup of your save games. You can copy them back after the installation has finished.

Apart from that, read the instructions on the ALOT Nexus page very carefully before you start. (Things change sometimes rather quickly if it comes to mods.) 😉

You however should solve the "can't connect to the ME2 servers" problem first. This could lead to problems.
Other culprits for this problem could be a overprotective virus scanner, wrong firewall configuration or a account problem. (among other things.)
