This is an old bug from the old version. I figured they would've fixed this. It will happen throughout the entire game.

Maybe? I never had this issue at all playing the original, but it's real annoying right now. It seems to concentrate on main missions the most - Therum wasn't bad, but Noveria and the tunnels on Feros so far are real bad (I haven't finished Feros or done Virmire yet).
