Re: [Resolved] We Could Not Activate Mass Effect 3 2012 Edition Error

I uninstalled the game already and the license folder deleted.

@MinusTee Made some changes to the account which should resolve it. What I would like for you to do is to delete any if the ME3 folders you have left over, and if the saves are there move the saves to the desktop.

When you log back into the EA app, you should see the ME3 icon in your library. Go ahead and install that for me without DLC and try launching it again. Let me know if you run into any of the errors again.

    Tor those affected:

1-Open File Explorer and point it to:  %ProgramData%\Elecronic Arts\EA Services
2-You will see a folder called License

    3-Move it to Desktop
    4-Enjoy

This does let OLD ME3 run multiplayer.  Will update if I find issues.

Sadly it is giving me the same EA activation error. I searched my entire pc for masseffect and found 1 ME3 folder. Deleted it. Downloaded the game again without DLC's and still no dice...

I just tried it again.. downloaded it to my C drive and moved the license folder to desktop as the post below yours suggested.. and EA activation and still nothing. I am running Bitdefender AV so I tried to turn that off too and still EA activation still not able to authenticate me "possibly due to being offline"

I just tried running my other ME games. ME andromedia works, the online works. ME 2 works. Initially the connecting online gave me a bit of issue but it went through after I typed my login.

    @Veleriphon

This method is described in the accepted solution of this thread on page 1.
I also removed all caps from your posts.

Hi @MinusTee, You can actually just delete all files within the license folder. Since they all tie to older games, the moment you launch them, they create a new file anyway so some players were able to fix it by deleting them all instead of just moving the folder.

Well guess what... formatting my pc fixed the issue. I just loaded up the game and was able to connect to EA servers!

Thank you for all your help! @EA_Shepard

I am glad you are able to get in. I am guessing the format either got rid of files it needed to or basically repaired the account. Either way, I am happy to hear you are able to now get in without issues!

    Cheers!
