and now it's 2020 .. still about 30 dollars on origin .. that kind of greed is insane

DLC rarely goes on sale...but once every blue moon they will put it on sale, allowing you to get them for relatively decent rates, if you are patient and have the time to wait.
In the US, ME2 DLC is 25$ while the ME3 is 30$.....but yeah, not the best.
So, if you want the DLC, just wait and watch for the rare sale.
