Dude, it was a glitch.....glitches are *unintended bugs* so they fixed it....you were not meant to have it in the first place, not that it really affected anyone else, considering it being a single Player game, but i would have preferred that they fix glitched quests and added some bloody rough location points for those quests that have none at all.
Again, not the point. I understand it was a glitch - but it was a glitch that circumvented a problem in the game's design. I was only ever exploiting because of poor development. Now - if they actually fixed research - and gave a minimum of 3x more, then I wouldn't be cheating or incentivized to do so - that's the issue here, the incentive.
I'm not dense. I develop a game myself - and one thing I understand is this - player's abuse glitches most often because of a development flaw. And this case I was abusing a glitch to make up for the fact that there's nowhere near enough research data in the game.
Now the optimal solution on Bioware end should have been to also increase the rate Research is obtained. Instead they fixed the bug - which yes, is their job - but they completely ignored WHY players were using it in the first place. That is the crappiest thing a dev can do - if you can't recognize why your playerbase is choosing to use a glitch, then you're absolutely ignorant of the state of your game.
Instead they saw it how many in this thread do "just another bug." Imo the real "bug" is the fact you have to play the game 10 times to max your gear. That should have been the priority fix, but nah, let's stop exploits instead without fixing the real problem.
