Resolution Reverts to Lower Setting after Exiting Options Menu
This is closely related to this issue of not being able to select higher resolutions in the game's GUI.
I play at 4K on my TV, and even after setting my resolution to 3840 x 2160 in the `GamerSettings.ini` file, as soon as I tweak anything in the Options menu in-game, whether it be Gameplay, Sound, even if I don't change any setting, as soon as I leave the Options menu the game's resolution reverts to a lower one. For me it's been 1080p.
(As an aside, the `GamerSettings.ini` file, should really be in some sub-folder of the My Documents folder! Not the game's installation folder! BioWare, please move it!)
I have been experiencing this issue across all 3 of the games.
This is extremely frustrating as I sometimes will try to tweak some settings, now and again. Now I'm training myself to resist this urge just so this bloody issue stops happening.
Normally I would stick with 1080p for most games, however one reason I'm extremely disappointed with this remaster is the omission of any temporally-based anti-aliasing solution, namely TAA. If it is some sort of TAA, it's not great.
Even playing this game at 4K with AA enabled PLUS ReShade FXAA/SMAA, there is a ridiculous amount of pixel-crawl and shimmering across shiny and metallic surfaces in the game, especially in the Normandy SR2.
I thought that since it's been nearly a 7 years since TAA started appearing in games, the move to DirectX 11 for this release, and the consultation/help from Epic themselves, I thought they'd be able to fandangle a way to get TAA into BioWare's tweaked version of UE3. I guess UE3 is too old to support that shader, or something.
I pine for the good-ol'-days of just forcing SGSSAA in Nvidia Inspector, *sigh*.
