I've just been FORCED to change from Origin, even though I have nothing new to download it wouldn't let me run anything.
I am having the same issue with Mass Effect 2007. I was unable to update to EA play without removing origin first as the installer kept failing.
While I still have the Mass Effect files, I get the same error when trying to download the game. If it try and run MassEffect.exe from my previously installed version manually I get the error "You don't have access - This title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log in to a different account or restart the app to try again".
I also have a manage add-ons option on Mass Effect 2007 to download pinnacle station that doesn't work, it says it will open a browser to download the file then does nothing.
This is a new install of EA Play, telling Mass Effect 2 to download again detected the previous files and installed without issue.
