am i the only one who's ryder psyc profile doesn't always match his/her actions or dialogue choices? for instance just about every ryder i've made has the remark that "more impulsive in the field than with affection", even when it's obviously not the case. this is especially an issue when you try to be personable, open and or passionate in private or off the clock and professional/logical in the field. the game just doesn't really seem to make a distinction. and it only seems to accurately track my rider's personality when s/he is being impulsive, passionate, or sarcastic. my logical, professional ryders seem to read like a bipolar check list.

No you aren't and this is something I have noticed. This is what makes it worse for me when I have dialogue choices that have practically no affect on the outcome of a situation. Such as Liam shooting that corpse no matter what I say. Some argued that this was to gauge my Ryder somehow and then I noticed that there are plenty of areas where despite me choosing all one kind of response, he will often say things that do not fit the way I've been playing.

"impulsive in the field" seems to trigger real easy. Two playthroughs one emotional and the other logical. Did only a few of the "triggered" actions like shooting the cardinal and still got "impulsive" on both playthroughs.

I wonder if that's why some of the responses that don't seem to fit end up being triggered. Like maybe the criteria for them is too low. Like your Ryder will give an emotional response at a certain moment if you selected the emotional response more than 10 times... ...instead of it checking to see what percentages are your responses so looking to see if you have an emotional response rate above 50% to see if it should give an emotional response.

I'm not sure what the plus/minus count checklist is for dialogue choices - and I think narrative actions figure in there somehow. Do you do all the quick actions? Maybe that's where the game decides we're impulsive. It might also be that both sarcastic/funny and emotional count as "impulsive".

It doesn't help that about half the time you're only given half the wheel to choose from... you might have to work at it not to be labelled "impulsive".

my more professional ryders read something like:

218 logical responses

186 professional responses

80 passionate responses

15 sarcastic responses

I pretty much did them all - and thought that's how I got the label. Maybe everybody gets that... SAM is writing the entries and anyone who doesn't spend enough time considering all the logical possibilities, or makes decisions that aren't based solely on percentages, might seem impulsive to it.

Think Lexi evaluates you twice. Once at the start of the game where she calls it a prelim report and qualifies that she still doesnt know you that well, the second one probably around the time you discovered AYA. I dont think it changes much after that. If you are sarcastic or rude towards Tann, there will be a note on that as well. I tried different approaches and the psych profile does change but I think it gets locked in pretty early in the game.

I went and looked - does it keep a running total of all playthroughs? My count is way higher.

11 impulsive

106 casual

299 emotional

153 logical

276 professional

I have "heart and empathy" but am impulsive in the field.

Shooting the Kett leader in my last two pt instantly msde the impulsive in the field response show in my profile when it wasn't there the first time I played and did not shoot the leader

It can and will change. Mine has changed a few times throughout my last pt when my Ryder wasn't as specif8c as my first.

Where does it list the numbers? I must be blind or stupid cause I see a description of Ryder personality but no conversation choice breakdown....

The profile is in the journal and tucked under "the journey so far" and then "Ryder".

The Statistics are the middle tab (on PC) under skills. It says "view statistics". Then you want "narrative stats"
