Shadows are too dark in Mass effect 2 PC

I brought the Mass effect trilogy on origin and booted up ME 2. As soon as I got to the squad menu screen, Half of each squad members face is covered in shadow. Then I get to Omega and suddenly, the ...

I have the same issue and I couldn't fix it with those solutions. Removing depth of field isn't an actual fix, it just shifts the problem...
