Singleplayer Mods and Multiplayer - Risk a ban?

Hello,

i asked Ian via Twitter and while he considered it unlikely to get banned for MP when using Mods for SP, i still wanna ask here just to be sure.

So.. if i install Mods for Singleplayer - do i risk getting banned for Multiplayer?

There are some really good mods out there.. but i rather not risk a ban. Especially having bought the Super Deluxe Edition.. would be one huge waste of money.

Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. I would wait until you hear from an actual EA or Bioware employee on an official site. Since I have never heard anything like achievements being disabled when you use mods like in a Fallout or Skyrim game where mods are expected so on grounds like or similar to that it might be considered tampering. Maybe check the Nexus forums if you get mods from there on peoples experiences.

I would hang fire and wait for official word. I wanted to add some mods myself. With the game split across two exe's it usually means mods are "ok" as long as they dont modify MP specific data. But MEA is a curious beast when it comes to code, so only EA / Bioware can really say if thats true or not.
