Squad/Cutscenes: shadowed faces

I've re-installed Mass Effect 2 on my new computer and am having a small annoyance with the graphics.  On the character screen (Squad) screen the faces will appear half in-shadows.  I've searched for...

    Cutscenes have additional lighting. Make sure all 3 cinematic lights are turned on in the Mass Effect 2 config utility.

    Since this is a graphical issue, it's best if you posted your system specs.
