Start game, mouse and keyboard do NOT work

Only way I can get the m&kb to work is in windowed or border-less mode, fullscreen makes the keyboard quit but mouse still clicks and that's it. Any ideas from this point?

3 things to check....

1)  Often if the game sees a controller installed, it will default to this and you have to start the game and then change the options to use keyboard and mouse...at which time it should work fine..should....

2)  I have seen where programs such as teamspeak and other online/ingame chat/communications programs interfere with EA games seeing keyboards.

3) Make sure you don't have a phantom keyboard or mouse listed in your hardware somewhere....I have seen an issue where certain items such as tablets or even old keyboards are still listed in hardware lists on the computer and happen to be ahead of the one actually being used when it comes to ME choosing which one to take input from. 

You may want to post a DxDiag to see if anything in it may lead to other advice if none of the above work.

1) Controller wasn't installed/hooked up to my PC before I've tried it.

2) No chat/communications software installed. Only have Teamviewer 13 installed so I can remote into computers at work and remote to home computer from work.

3) Only have ever had my Logitech desktop installed.

I play in borderless window and it crashes after 5 mins. I have to play fullscreen with controller and it won't crash but m&kb don't work. I can not play a shooter with a controller....

team viewer bugged my game'=/

I'm having the opposite problem, I can't get my xbox controller to work and I don't see any options in the game to switch from keyboard and mouse to xbox controller

It should switch automatically. Have you tried unplugging the M&KB to see if just the controller hooked up is detected by the game?

What kind of controller??  Wired or Wireless...xbox, xbox360 or Xbox1??  Does the controller work for other games??  Does it show up in system hardware as installed??  Does any other controllers show up in Hardware specs as installed?...such as some tablets, mice or touchpads may interfere with game seeing the controller.....

Yes I had the same problem and Team Viewer was the cause !

I have a Razer Orbweaver keypad and I have the same issue. I hope it will work now that I have disconnected it
