[Steam] Can't launch Mass Effect Andromeda

Hi Mordin,

Thanks for your response yesterday.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to have changed.

The game still looks like it's going to start. It pops up on the taskbar and i get a window with the Andromeda header, but the window remains black. When i look at the process in Taskmanager it never uses more than 0.1% CPU and after 30 seconds or so, it shows 0.0% usage, like it's not doing anything.

This game has stressed me out. I can't figure out why it won't boot up.

Don't suppose you have any other advice?

Cheers,

Swiss

I moved your post into a seperat thread becaus the solution in the other thread did not work for you.

Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply.

Also go to your Reliability monitor > Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time and copy and paste or type "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) in the new Window > hit “ENTER” and look if it has entries for the game you have trouble with or EA app.
If yes double click at the last entry for the game executable, copy the info to the clipboard, and save it to a text file.

You can attach the DxDiag text file you created (and the “Reliability monitor” text file as well) to your post in the “Reply” window with the “Choose File” button.

Thread.minfreeprocessorcount -2 (think this is what fixes the problem)
    Thread.processorcount 4 ( maximum core threads)
Notepad in installation folder with the name user.cfg
