I have been all over the map and I believe I have collected all of the caches but there is one that I can't interact with.  It shows up at a camp west of the Cave.  It is inside a Cargo Box.  It does not highlight on my scanner but it does have that glowy blue outline showing its something I should be able to interact with.  I will continue to try and find the rest.  The Task/Quest does not tell me how far I am in the quest.  It only says "scan weapon caches".

  • The problem is because you people (just like i did a few hours ago) destroyed the shuttle. Before you killed those outlaws, the quest will bug by then. First and second playthrough i had no issues with it, my third one got bugged because i have destroyed the shuttle before i killed those outlaws.

EA should fix this because we finished the quest already.

Even if they fix this issue in a future patch you must still reload a prior save if you want to have the quest completed in this playthrough.

  • Not really, they could add a check if you destroyed the shuttle or not to complete the quest.

The problem is people skip the navpoint part, thats why the quest bugs.

Unfortunately it is not that easy.

Lets say you added a function to check for that. This function would then have to run each time you started the game parsing through your savegames causing a slow down in the game.

It would of course first check if the quest was finished and if it is the overhead would not be too severe but what about the millions of games where it has not been finished and maybe never will be? Should all these people really suffer because a few people encounter a bug where all they have to do is load a game a little older.

In a bug fix there is only a way to prevent it from happening in the future. A solution such as you suggest would be unfeasible.

  • Well i am not going to reload back and lose alot of progress, infact i would lose over 50%. I don't care if it's still open or not but i only posted the screenshot to show why it gets bugged.

It's up to EA/Bioware to fix things, but i doubt they will even do this.

If you had reloaded immediately after discovering the bug you wouldn't have lost much time by reloading.

Bioware may decide not to fix this since it is a minor bug that only few people will encounter and it has an easy workaround. It will depend on how easy it is to fix.

  • It seems like impossible not to trigger this bug.

I took on the outlaws at the top of a mountain and found a message on a datapad, then the objective "search for the message source"

The objective marker was on a landing pad in the valley below. I saw a shuttle waiting there with an outlaw, so I spammed my sticky-grenade gun until the outlaw died and the shuttle was destroyed.... but apparently that killed the quest.

Was I supposed to wait until I was in range to trigger the shuttle to do something so I could stop it instead of just stopping it and not hamstringing myself by letting it get away?

    So stupid. Very poor design.
