Tempest improvements
Kallo will probably have a fit and go all depressed on me for attempting to tamper with his precious tempest.... But... If I can make one improvement to the tempest, I would remove the conference r...

Thats truth, the room is useless. But I would move the both study rooms there and I would create more sleeping-rooms. There are really not enough, for so many people.
What I dont get is, with space being so limited, Liam could get his couch in there lol... what's that space for? His personal beer drinking spot? And poor old drack lives in the kitchen! I mean look at the kitchen, where does he sleep? Before the game was launched I heard them interview a girl from bioware that worked on the tempest for the last 2-3 years... Are the depts not speaking to each other and they didnt figure out that there's gonna be a 800pound krogan on board?

Short answer, yes and no. I think Peebee's loyalty mission and them leaving in the bouncing safety bar proves it might have been oversight... but then became intentional. Space is definitely not at a premium on the Tempest - but it never was on any ME ship. I think they are all ADA compliant. I thought Drack in the kitchen might just be a Krogan thing - or even a vague reference to Grunt as inside joke.
Just take joy in knowing if you ever want to build a Rube Goldberg machine or go for the domino toppling record you'd probably be safe from accidents.
I'm surprised there isn't an option to arm up your ships (even if it's just adding some missiles/torpedoes to the Tempest. We know the Arks and the Nexus have fighters, but that's the only 'fighting' force for ships other than shoot hand weapons out the open doors of shuttles... >_<

LOL Think they plan to mount Sarissa and Cora in the front of the ships, they are the only things capable to taking out a kett cruiser! I found it strange that the initiatives purpose was to escape the reapers so there's obviously eminent danger, and looking at it they do have massive resources and really have to make this work for the salvation and continuation of the galaxy... Fine if they dont have large guns on the nexus or tempest, but the arks? Or at least send a couple of armed escort ships? Lol they may need to consult the quarians on how to arm their civilian ships lol...
Given we are talking about Tempest functionality as well, I think we, as Ryder, could promote some default events in the Tempest. For example, a sushi-night (please, just take the idea and avoid saying: but we have no ingredients to make a sushi! Where will we get fish, blah, blah), where you can offer yourself to cook something for your crew, have some of them in the galley. That conference room which you rarely use and mainly on quest order. Just like the Normandy, much of your ship is basically cosmetic. Past time they do something that really makes use of all fancy stuff.

I would love if they had spent more time on small events like this with the crew as opposed to all the fetch quests.

As I recall, Drack seemed to have appointed himself in charge of the home cooked meals. That being said, I do like the idea of the crew sitting down to dinner together periodically, possibly in the conference room or Ryder's room.
Also, if the Tempest, or Tempest-class, were intended for the human pathfinder, Alec might have talked the design crew into including a family-sized quarters, since Alec planned to be traveling with his family.
I do hope the Tempest does acquire some means of defense other than strapping Drack to the nose of the ship.
It would also be nice if we could personalize the Tempest for ourselves and our crew as we go, such as roses in the bio-lab, random souvenirs in my cabin, and a growing collection of Remant data cores in Peebee's lab
The Tempest is a perfect example of the naivity and idealismen of the andromeda initiative however one has to keep in mind that the A-I are a civilian operation and there are laws and regulations that prevent civilians from being as heavily armed as a military .. and no Cerbereus don't count A-I's founder had not the background, connections or resources of Tim
though one has to wonder how A-I got their hands on a Normandy Stealth Drive and why it seemingly don't work given how easily the Arckon finds you
Overral I like the tempest for what it is, it's not the magical plot device that the SR 1-2 was it's simply a ship that brings you from A to B

Am sure you can get some ingredients from the angarian scientist that was capturing and experimenting on the Yevara... Jaal would probably be weeping throughout dinner though....
When isn't Jaal weeping...
But I digress from OP.
