Tempest improvements
Kallo will probably have a fit and go all depressed on me for attempting to tamper with his precious tempest.... But... If I can make one improvement to the tempest, I would remove the conference r...

Also hardly go into the pathfinders room as well.
Yeah, i used to just jump down as well instead of using the lift. Im kinda this type of guy who rather using the shortcut on the grass than the actual walkway, and in a game its no different.
Anyway after i realized something regarding to the Pathfinder quarters that from the outside nobody can see inside... so my post was kinda nonsense about it but im not gonna edit it 😃
LOL Before getting the pre-order trial game, I watched plenty of interviews and hyped trailer on youtube, one of the things they said about the tempest is that there will no longer be a elevator like SR2 etc... I could still remember playing the game for the first time and entering the tempest for the first time... I was about to explore the ship... And I saw Ladders.... Initially I though they were decorative, that you cant interact with them... then... oh boy.... that sinking feeling... lol...

I do like that they put in an animation for sliding down the handrails instead of climbing down. The forward ones make sense for quick bridge access. Shipboard ones are more inclined so you can carry things up and down them (but you still slide down them if your hands are empty). Really big things get chainfalled... what the lift is for I guess.
Since I climbed over 50 ladders a day on military ships, I have no sympathy for you virtual ladder climbing complainers... 😎
As to the ladders being there in the first place, that is actually very realistic. I think every SyFy ship I've seen that allows you to see most of the ship has ladders. Simple answer? Power loss. If you want to get shot down and can't get to your escape pod because there isn't enough power for the lifts, elevators, etc., more power to you. Enjoy the outside air as the ship explodes. Be sure to bring Liam with you.
Seriously though, ladders should be there as part of the ship design. There should always be mechanical ways of dealing with things that normally require electronics. And for a two-level ship, more than one lift seems a little impractical in design. I guess I could see a small lift off to the side that takes you up and down quickly, something like the larger cargo lift, but smaller and faster, and just one of them.
I personally prefer the open design. Like the Captain's quarters as well. No, those aren't realistic at all and I wouldn't gripe if they were made more realistic. But I'll take them while I have them 🙂

You could make three bedrooms (and an office) out of the Pathfinder's pad. Though that may have been considered a necessary 'perk' for that rank and important position. We don't see what Tam's quarters are like, after all.
