Actually, I've been going through all of it again since you posted that and there are several potential contradictions and inconsistencies. Went back to Tann's original discussions as well as some of the others and several things don't match up. Either way, I would still have a hard time believing she was using a random apartment as a safe house. But since there are so many holes in that whole story, it's difficult to say for sure.
However, I will give you bonus points for taking a joke too seriously 🙂
That's probably the benefactor's apartment. And we just needed to find his wedding album under the mattress to solve all the mystery.
