"Temporarily Unavailable" ... Forever.

I'm trying to download ME3 DLC. Any of it. Probably all of it eventually. This is *not* a purchase issue, as I can't even get the free multiplayer DLC or the extended cut.

Any time I go to purchase/take the ME3 DLC, either from the Origin client directly OR from the Origin interface inside the ME3 client, the list of DLC comes up and then clicking on any of them gets me "Temporarily Unavailable". This has been going on for weeks.

So far customer support has been useless, so I'm trying here.

I have tried: uninstalling and restarting Origin, ensuring that Origin and ME3 are cleared in my Firewall, disabling my firewall, purchasing Bioware points from Bioware's site and then downloading in Origin, waiting forever, crying.

The only possible thing I can think of that I havn't tried is uninstalling and reinstalling ME3, but I really don't want to. If anybody has experienced this and knows a fix, please let me know. I'm getting very frustrated.

  • Are you running Origin (and Mass Effect 3) as an Administrator?

    1) Right-click the Origin icon on your desktop and select Run As Administrator.
    2) Restart Origin and try launching your game.

Do you have any busy Virus scanners, or anti-malware programs running?

Try installing again with Task Manager running and watch it to see if any other processes or 3rd party applications appear to be doing something funny.

The error sounds like you cannot communicate with the server hosting the software.  Do you have any other network issues?  Multiplayer works fine?

How direct is your computer communicating to the internet?

I assume PC using LAN (Wired) -> Router using LAN -> Modem.

Perhaps somebody at Origin can tell you what server or IP address to ping to be certain.

If you have two routers or some other device added in the mix, it may cause problems.  (I've had to replace switches before)

Conspiracy theorists might have something to say about Net Neutrality, if your ISP is funny.
