I also really love ME:A despite needing much love and care (patches) ... But unfortunatly the rumours are true. Bioware Edmonton has been scaled down to a support studio, so they will continue to support ME:A of course, but as for DLC i would not hold your breath... Whats even worse is the entire Mass Effect series as a whole has been put on hiatus - meaning no sequel or new game for quite some time (if at all)... https://www.kotaku.com.au/2017/05/sources-bioware-montreal-downsized-mass-effect-put-on-ice-for-now/

Take that one article with a grain of salt, their sources can be hit or miss. MEA has been selling well, if not spectacularly. DLCs and Gold Editions are a good way to stretch out sales of the game. And if they get the bugs handled and the game stays fun for combat, people will hear about it.

I hope so ... i want this game to be awesome and when people think back on it a couple of years from now it will be thought of well and all these early day bugs/issues have gone away... Personally in my playthough i am only about 50% though and have only had minor issues and 1 side quest that wont complete so i am kink of lucky. I am waiting for 1.07 to jump back in.

Well, the game has sold a fair bit still but it didn't manage to reach the ME3 sales when that came out. They still sold millions of copies I'm sure. However, the bad vibe around it has caused people to be hesitant and the proof of that lies in the simple fact that the game went on sale already in various places within weeks of the release.
AEware have only got themselves to blame for that. Possibly they thought they could manage and made the decision to cut costs on the later stages of development in the hopes that it would not affect sales too negatively. Well, we all know by now how well received the game was when it released.
The sad thing is that behind the obvious flaws and some bad decisions in the final take, there really is a pretty good game behind it. I would've preferred that they had done the investment to make the game what it should've been on release because then I'd be playing a game with an overall good vibe around it. Now I have to defend why I even bother playing this game.

i do have to say after the last two patches andromeda has gone up about 1.5 points in my book (that put's it at a 6.5 or so), a few more and i might windup giving it an 8/10 (i use the angry joe scale, meaning 5 is average).
