Whilst I agree that we should always triangulate various sources of information, in the case of EA/Bioware, there hasnt been any official announcement. In fact one of the official tidbits I heard was that EA was actually happy with Bioware for MEA. Denial? In such a situation, I would say between a politically correct statement vs Kotaku's article, I am leaning towards the latter.

It is the fact that there are no other stories or reports that collaborate Kokatu's side that makes me wary. Like I said, it may be the truth as the person(s) they talked to see it, but that is only one side of the story and could very much be a bit tainted.

You make a fair point. It is just one story, written in a reasonable and convincing style. Nothing that confirms this other than that it is plausible considering what happened.
I also read the twitter comment from EA about BW but perhaps it's back to the same old problem: communication.
Why, with all that's been going on, have they failed to comment at all on what's coming for ME:A or not in the wake of EA Play and the E3? Surely they can see that there are people still enjoying the game but at the same time the questions about the future of ME:A keep coming.
I do not understand that they haven't at least hinted at something just to let us know that indeed ME:A has not been abandoned. It seems to me that right now regular communication, even just as damage control but more to the point with the aim of customer retention, would be a good strategy?
What are we missing here that makes silence on the topic logical or even sensible? Well, since people don't know, they go with what they can imagine...and one thing that is plausible is that there is not DLC coming. Single sided story or not, we have no other side of the story and therein lies the problem.

Um, people have stated that EA has a different communication's policy than Bioware had back in the day. That's the reasonable explanation right there.
