Unable to abandon Keri romance? [spoilers]

It obviously isn't a bug, but I believe being unable to tell Keri (the journalist): "Sorry, I no longer want to engage with you in a romantic way." kind of makes this romance option a bit annoying. Around 30% game completion you are able to tell Keri you want to get to know her after she finished interviewing you, which ultimately decides that "We'll bang, OK?" (the act itself isn't visible, but highly suggested it happened). At around 60-100% completion (depending on how you play and who you want to romance) you get to pick a "serious" romance option from your crew and Keri will finish her interviews only after this happened. Now at this point I was no longer interested in her (because I wish to be loyal to my chosen one), but I'm unable to finish her storyline without having to romance her, so the task just lingers there with me having to speak with her a final time and/or talk to her in Vortex (both of which ends up in an awkward forced romantic speech). I believe this hasn't been thought out properly, but I can only wonder why, since the other non-crew relationships all have a "stop" button even after telling them you are interested in them (e.g. the angaran lady).

I find these illogical consequences quite annoying in RPGs, where solving a situation like ths could be handled by one more speech option, and even more when it's "messing up" (depending on a person's OCD) your playthrough with a decision made in the first third of the game (like they handled Leliana in DA:I).
Did you encounter this as well? Do you think the decision is saved and maybe impact the sequels? Do you think it (and choices like this) should be patched?

at the end she will ask you to go to the bar. just don't go. done. plus it doesn't affect your main romance anyways. so no problem. no different than peebee in the escape pod.

LOL I had the same issue as well, dont think there will be a problem with cora but peebee should find out with the whole embrace eternity thing.  Would be awesome if this happened and whilst doing it ryder says "I love you" and Pee Bee goes wait what?  Keri?  Really?

Extracted from ME Wiki:  During melding, the eyes of the asari initiating the meld dilate as she consciously attunes her nervous system to her partner's, sending and receiving electrical impulses directly through the skin. A common phrase used before melding is "embrace eternity", presumably to help focus the partner's mind. Effectively, the asari and her partner briefly become one unified nervous system, sharing memories, thoughts, and feelings. The offspring is always an asari, regardless of the species or sex of the "father" and in the case that the offspring is of two asari, the father is the one who does not give birth.

Ummm... in the last dialogue with her you can choose not to go forward with it... just saying.  There is no abandon option, per se - but after you do the quest Road to Meridian or whatever, she will ask you to meet her at the bar, and you can reject her there last minute.

I don't know what would happen if you did the pod thing after you romanced someone else, if it doesn't matter I assume the devs just figured no one would miss that conversation till getting in a serious relationship. Oh and I'm doing that exactly, not going to see her in Vortex, but who knows at which part does the game save it as you romanced her, for sequels, it might be already too late for that. :D It's annoying, that's all I'm saying and could be solved with one plus conversation option.

I didn't get a proposition from Peebee, after Sara was locked in romance with Reyes. Although I guess it could also be because I never flirted with her?

LOL I got 99 problems and my sidechick is one!

But seriously. Yeah, there should be a moment in the games progression where if you begin to show affection (all those hearts) toward another player. The option to "talk about your current relationship" should engage. I recall in KotOR you could juggle 2 love interests and at some point in the game you would have to choose.

AGAIN, that was waaaaaaay back in KoTOR (1 or 2). Bioware, plz.
