ME3 Multiplayer progress lost/merged with secondary account?

Ok, so this is going to be a bit weird.
I have two accounts, this one and a secondary one. I've used this account for a long time, playing a lot on both xbox 360 and on PC, unlocking everything on both. I have also renamed this account some time last year.
I have a secondary account I made to play with a friend. It's name and email used is different from this one. I have been playing on that one. I recently logged out to switch over to this one to play with everything unlocked again.

I log into N7 HQ with this account and I see all the progress and unlocks there. I log into the EA app with this account and I see all my games and the hours. I go log into ME3 multiplayer, and the progress matches what the second account has? The name in the lobby is correct, but all the unlocks is just what the second account has.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, but that didn't change anything. It's just.... stuck matching the previous account?

    Quemoxu Hey,

So, for this one, it will be a bit rough. Due to the system, the N7 page so old now, it sounds like the data is mixing together like when you don't clear the cache from a browser and it shows old info and not new info.

There are a couple of ways to get it to sync but ultimately, there may not be a way to "fix" the issue as a whole. When you log into the N7 HQ page with the original account, go through the password reset and tech steps it has.

Then repeat with the second account and make sure that none of these accounts are tied together in the EA Profile Page

The harder part for us is that we cannot go in and separate it, or change it in any way so it is really about getting it to sync properly. It could also be a matter of the console, or PC needing to be cleaned out as well. For example, clearing cache on the Xbox if you are on the 360, or if you are on the newer ones, the ALT Mac address. Then unplug it for like 2 minutes and test it out again.

Being that the page is so old at this point, issues like this are not going to be that easy if its crossing data.

  • I just had the same thing happen.  I have multiple accounts.  Played on PC with older Account 1 (full manifest).  Then switched to newer Account 2 on same PC.  It loaded with the full manifest of Account 1.  When loading it gave me the Cloud sync mismatch notice.  I believe I selected Cloud.  So yeah, apparently it overwrote the save file with the (cached?) cloud save.

Solution: I used "Clear Cache" option from EA App's Menu (3-bar)>Help>App Recovery and it fixed it.

And in the future, I'm going to make sure I have a relatively recent save file (Documents/Bioware) backed up just in case though not sure that will help.

DoctorDAM Appreciate the reply there. It has happened to quite a few of us with save files and the cloud. Glad it worked out for you though with the steps you listed out.

    Cheers.
