Walking Glitch

I was hoping someone could help me with a little trouble I am having. After taking about a month break from Mass Effect 2 I decided to pick it up again and get Shepard back on track to saving the universe. However, once I loaded my most recent saves I was having troubles manuvering, some of the walking keys were not working! 😕mileysad: I could only use my a and d keys respectively to move left and right. The orientation (aka) mouse was working fine, but the w and s keys (front walk and back) weren't working.

At first I thought it was simply a glitch, so I simply reloaded, and tried again.  It didn't solve it. In fact I was further perlexed by what happened next: instead of facing a similar problem now only my a (left strafe) worked and all the others weren't responsive. Successive attempts to either reset the key bindings to default didn't work and checking other saves in my game, it is doing the same thing! So it's not only affecting just my most recent save, but the other ones as well and whenever I load the game it is completely random which assortment of keys (if any) work and don't. I'm just at a loss at what to do now to get this fixed
