Why remove the save ability???
I really wonder what lead to decision to remove save ability during some parts.
It's such a boredom that either I'm an alien, either those who designed that aren't from Earth.

Yeah, as observed, it happens during Priority Main Storyline Missions.
I would hazard a guess that it's locked because there's a great amount of events scripted in those missions, and players could accidentally save during situations which could jeopardize their own progress. However, I think that saving could be unlocked at strategic points on those areas, whenever scripted events weren't present or not currently underway (like when you are fleeing a vault's purge).
Yeah it's not first time I read the bug explanation, could be the cause of awfully long savepoints, but it doesn't excuse the gameplay damages it does. Seriously not be able save states of events is huge, even with plenty, the game should be able save and load them.
