Will Mass Effect Trilogy Legendary Edition for PC have controller support?

As the title says, will the trilogy remaster have controller support on PC?  The first and second game did not originally if I recall correctly.

I'm all for as many options as possible, which is why I not only want controller support, but also gyro aiming. The DualShock 4 supports it. Give us gyro controls, BioWare!

You can strike the quotes. 😉

Everyone should play as and on whatever device they like to play, but personal preferences aside, K&M is vastly superior in regards to precision and control.

There is a reason that the console vendors make it as hard as possible to connect a mouse and a keyboard to their devices. 😉

I hear ya, and they are all valid points.  I agree dealing with PC issues is a downside.  And there is also something about sitting on the couch with my big screen and just laying back on the couch with a controller.  (In the past, I've connected PC to TV and used K&M, but it's not the same).  Though of course if you use controller on PC, you still have the PC gremlins to deal with!

As to Mods, I totally understand.  I've done umpteen ME playthrus.  This is the first time I'm using mods.  While some claim it is simple, I didn't find it so.  And you see many posts here about connectivity issues with them (not to disparage the great work done by modders and Mgamerz in particular for his tools!).

But got to say, K&M is "objectively" better 😉  (jk, but it is superior for top-tier competitive gameplay -- which has nothing to do with me, LOL)

  • That really is just personal preference. For me the combat wheel is awesome and i love it, when i saw PC didnt have it the game didnt feel normal to me. You could argue that mods keep the game fresh/better looking but personally I dislike having to mess with files, i'm bad at it. If the game doesnt have mod support in the main menu so i just click download and play then I won't touch a mod.

I moved from xbox to pc during the xbox one generation and honestly i came back to console. Controller is easier to learn and just feels more natural to me and the console itself spoonfeeds me a lot better than PC. Far quicker and easier to just get into a game, nothing worse than coming home and having to mess around with PC updates and settings when you just wanna chill.

In short, nothing against PC versions of mass effect but sometimes people just prefer console gameplay for any number of reasons 🙂

That's probably going to be the case, though I don't think there's any info on this (or really, most anything), out yet.

I reply for this: I encourage you controller users to give a good attempt at the keyboard+mouse control. After playing ME3 MP on XBOX for too many hours to admit to, I purchased ME3 PC and absolutely struggled with K+M.  But after persevering, I'd never ever go back.  It just works sooo much better in terms of control.  I can now competently (well at least I don't royally suck at) sniping.  That's only a small part of it.  Frankly lately, I find it hard to go back to my XBONE since I upgraded PC.  Part of it is surely the graphics, but the K+M controllability is a huge factor..

  • So far there has been no confirmation (i did a quick check before replying).

I would also like to know :D If i find out in the coming weeks i'll let you know
