[Xbox] Trying to redeem Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition DLC

Hi, I just recieved an unopened copy of Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition for Xbox. I'm trying to download the code that gives you the in-game Collector's Edition Exclusive Content (also doubles as an Online Pass activation code...) but it's not working on either the Xbox website or EA's. I can say with 100% confidence that this code has never been used before.

When I try to redeem it through Xbox I get the message "Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different web page or device, or you may be ineligible to redeem this code."

When trying to redeem through EA, it says "The product code you entered is not valid. Please confirm that the code has been entered correctly."

I guess it's because of the fact that it is also an Online Pass code, but online pass doesn't exist anymore lol. What do I do? The Collector's Edition also includes in-game content such as a bonus mission and character, alternate outfits, and new weapons - so I would really like it to work!!

  • @Purple_Sharpie0 The online pass requires no code in general. So, any code that you use for the online pass would say invalid anyway.

For content though, there is a chance it may not work. "invalid" for consoles typically means only a few things:

    • Expired
    • Used
    • Wrong code

With it being a console, some older codes like this, you have to apply on the console, or on a site that gives a code for that console. That would be stated on the leaflet though. Since live support cannot see Xbox codes, it would only tell us if it is applied to an account.

Invalid is not the same as already used though. If you have tried to use the code on the console, Xboxlive.com or the mobile app, I would reach out to Xbox and ask them about the code. Since they generate these, they would be able to see if it's expired or used.
