Game freezes when editing furniture.

Hi. Mysims has been working absolutely fine until today. Now if I go to edit item it let's me edit is but when I click done the entire game freezes. I have tried everything I can think of to resolve this. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to fix it?
