Why is there an block limit on switch?

I was building my house in My Sims, and after I had placed maybe 35 or 45 blocks I was told that I had reached the limit of blocks I could place. This is an very old game, that was originally on wii and ds. The switch is far more powerful than those consoles, so why is there such an small block limit?

Games like Minecraft and Dragon Quest Builders are on switch, they do not impose arbitary limits like this on the players creativity. So why does My Sims have these limits? Is this the old limit from wii versions that has not been removed? If so, then it needs to be removed, as it is so limiting. Switch is capable of far more, there is no need for this limit.

Please remove this limit, or at least increase it to 100 blocks. Thank you.

  • This annoys me too. The limit is 45 blocks when building in your workshop (not sure what the limit is on Kingdom but I'd imagine it's something similar) which made sense for a Nintendo Wii back in 2007 but there is no reason why the Switch shouldn't be able to handle up to 100 blocks at least. I mean come on, people play games like Hogwarts Legacy on the Switch...

  • I mean you answered your own question. It’s a game from 2007. The only thing they updated was the UI and graphics slightly, but no changes were made to the actual gameplay itself. This bundle is simply a way for people to either relish in some heavy nostalgia, or for the new generation to play a different kind of sims game (while also possibly testing to see if there’s a market for new MySims titles). You sound severely entitled as well. What makes you think they’re going to make changes to a 17 year old game, just because you told them to? Lol.
