Franchise Mode nba live 19 freezes after playing a game

Yes I have been having this issue lately... how can it be fixed... I play real 12 minute quarters and then the game freezes.. today it has been ok but it does this....

Same issue, EA help on twitter has tried to help but nothing has fixed it so far. They even had me reset my Xbox but that did nothing. At this point franchise is completely unplayable.

This is really a problem. I am playing difficult franchise games and get happy when winning the games after a lot of effort but get very bitter soon after the game ends. Once it goes back to the loading screen the game crashes no matter what. Then it's like you didn't play the match at all. I play on Xbox One. The game works fine until that moment comes. Please guys fix that... it is very annoying. It would be great to at least have the chance to save the progress before this happens so we don't have to keep playing the same games over and over again.

Any news on a fix for the franchise crash issues in Xbox One? It totally kills the immersion in a good game.  Is this still a thing on PS4?

This is ridiculous. I’m having the same issue, and playing a season in franchise mode was my sole purpose for buying it. I don’t play online, and I could care less about the street ball and all the other stuff. This issue needs addressed and fixed IMMEDIATELY. This renders the game unplayable for me. EA you need to FIX. YOUR. PRODUCT.

Can you provide me the following?

• Specific type of Xbox you have. 
• Do you have the game installed on an external hard drive?
• Have you tried reinstalling the game?
• Does the crashing still happen after these steps?

  • Clear the MAC Address: From the Xbox dashboard select Settings>All Settings>Network>Network Settings>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear, then restart your Xbox.

How uninstalling the game and installing it back will fix the issue? My gamertag is chrisnajar.

I play on an Xbox One S and the game is installed on an external drive. For starters, I also own NBALive 18 and NEVER had this issue at all using the exact same console.

I have already installed 3 major updates including the latest of 11.4 GB today. The result is the same: once I play a game in franchise mode, I play all the match without any problems, not one single issue. Once the game ends, I am given the unique option to go back to the franchise menu (there are no other options like save game- that would be extremely helpful) and then I get to this screen that shows the game controls and a "loading" circle at the left bottom. After some seconds of "loading" the background music gets stuck and the game stops working. It freezes and closes. Then I go back to my Xbox home menu.

That is EXTREMELY ANNOYING. Because I cannot play franchise mode AT ALL and that's a very important mode for me. I do not play online ever, so I don't know how the MAC Address clean up could fix anything. 

I haven't tried the full reinstall yet. I guess that's my only option now. I just don't want to again have to download all those updates. If I do all that and my game crashes again I think I will have to sell the game and try 2K19 instead. I really, really want to try Live 19's franchise but this bug is driving me crazy.

Update: 3 hrs after creating this post: I did uninstall the game in its entirety. I did re-install the whole thing and downloaded the update. Played the same game I have played like 50 times now (Lakers-Timberwolves) and after beating their *, to my dismay, the goddamn game freezes at the same point. Now I don't know what else I can do.

If there are other people reporting this problem is because something in those updates did * up the game. Or the save files got corrupted. I know I'm not the only one having this problem.

You mentioned you installed the game on an external hard drive. I'm concerned there might be game files and game updates installed on both the internal and external hard drives, so when it tries to pull the data it's doing it from two different sources. This can ultimately lead to crashing or freezing.

Can you please try uninstalling all NBA Live 19 data from both drives? First, uninstall all the data when the external hard drive is connected. Then unplug it and double check the internal if there are any files lingering. 

Please try installing the game on the internal hard drive next. This way, we can narrow down whether the freezing might be related to the game not properly functioning on the external hard drive.

Ok, I am happy to report that, as of now, I am not having the annoying freezing issue. I checked where my game was installed; but I saw it was actually in the internal hard drive and NOT in the external. So all I did was to move the installed app from the internal HD to the external. I erased any saved files and started again.

However yesterday I saw also a new update of around 11GB and according to the Reddit summary the update included a fix for several unspecified bugs. So at this point I am unable to determine whether the problem was fixed due to the change on the installation drive or if the update solved the problem. I don't know, but I really, really hope this doesn't happen again. I will report here otherwise. Thanks for being attentive to the feedback.
