Live run lag

Are you on WiFi or hardwired? I would suggest if you are on hardwired try wifi because you might be going so fast at 800 that others who have slow speeds might make you lag.

I go as much as 400 mbps and noticed that my ps4 gets these lan disconnection and I drop to 90 mbps even though I'm hardwired. It played better when it's 90 mbps and more stable like less errors. Could be my wire or ps4 getting old or the game caps me at 90mbps. Usually disconnects nba live and no other title unless I move my wire. After a disconnect once it goes fine the rest of night. It's not my router because it does not disconnects my PC on wifi. Could be the ethenet port on router but it's a solid netgear hawk x8 so maybe it's just cheap cat 7 flat wire or ps4 port getting old or game making me lose a connection at 400 mbps and reconnecting me a 90mbps. Could also be my ISP throlling me at night but on pc I still reach max speed so it's ps4 side.

Also game plays slower than live 18. Like if you jump for a block and miss your more likely to be off balance and pay for your early reaction. You have to slow down a bit and just observe to time your plays better.

Now with update 1.07 you get tired holding down the run and need to refill your short stamina bar other wise your red and zapped. I had to make a swap of one trait to run faster and not get so tired but this takes away for putting a three points trait or defense trait so it's a choice. Either I'm faster just to keep up with others especially on 3v3 or slower with defense.

I'm a Rim Protector so I don't have speed to start up with. I wish they could keep rebalancing the stamina bar becuase my big guy needs some speed to catch up for defense and speed for verticle dunks so I'm tired all the time. It's like EA took stamina and messed with it too much that now I can't even play anymore unless I just stand on the court and rest while a game is going on.

So yeah there is lag and yeah the game is slower than live 18 and now you're punished for running so, it's even the slowest I've seen so far.

Finally someone that expirience the same BS in live run since the game Dropped. Open nat typ 11 ms latency. Ik called my provider severel Times andere my network is good as perfect

Whats up Jeanuartbe. Im pretty sure ive seen your gamer tag on live run . Yea this is a mess , Ive changed my router from a asus 88U to a Netgear xr500 and back to the Asus , My xbox one x is hard wired as it was in 16 and 18 all ports suggested passed though , xbox ip mac is outside the firewall etc.. Ive tried wireless with limitations on the bandwidth the xbox is allowed to use , Ive tried a Scuf cable to hard wire my controller , I can login to 18 right now and have zero lag so something has changed making the shot meter a joke ! follow the bouncing ball etc.. I dont see many complaining so i dont see a fix by EA anytime soon if ever . They are too interested in upgrading graphics and adding BS Bape gear to the store . I do have plenty of friends with lag on 19 they are just not going out of their way to report it , The last story i heard was a player calling EA and the TECH told him to delete his player files from his xbox and cloud backup leaving him with no players and in demo mode SmH.. I do still try to run 3s , 5s is out of the question , seems the more players the worse it is , I also have friends hot spotting of their phones with no lag LOL.. or meter lag, Oh i even tried to enable IPV6 which did nothing . The fact remains until more players report this EA will never address it and assume we are doing something wrong though ive been a network tech for 12 years . The only thing that i find makes it somewhat playable it to create your own private lobby then open it , for some reason lag is not as bad, If an until they find a fix we will continue to get messages calling us trash LOL.. Though i finished 18 3 in the world for Point shooters .. Get your lagging friends to complain its out only hope 🙂) Peace bro !!!

Same! This is just absolute BS. This is the same as last year. Here’s what I wrote EA and have yet to receive an adequate reply addressing this issue. It literally is game breaking. Thank you for opening this topic. I am also puzzled by the lack of complaints. Maybe the EA mafia is shutting down all complaints. This is what I wrote to an EA Customer Rep 1/10/2019:

Live events are constantly plagued with bad lag coupled with floaty and delayed movements renderering proper player movement in Multiplayer modes very difficult to play consistently and accurately. My internet connection is roughly 300 mbs down so internet speed is not an issue. I have also reset my console and reinstalled the game in hopes to resolve the issues on my own, knowing this probably wouldn’t help.

Layups should be a simple shot but for some reason it is challenging to make a basic shot like a layup. AI has a bad performance balance, where AI seems to play like they are in God Mode on Superstar setting. I could reduce the difficulty but then the AI is not challenging enough and too easy. It’s a very fine line.

All of these issues are the same problems that were present in NBA Live 18. NBA Live 19 is just a reskinned version of 18 in my opinion. It seems to me EA didn’t address the problems from last year and just repacked the same crap in a prettier box. You can put lipstick on a pig...I think you get my point.

After recent updates game is worse.  On ball tip the animation gets reset because no one jumps due to lag right off the game start. I have over thrown the ball on tip off over the player head, funny but lag. Shooting not consistent with meter because of in game lag. Dunks are missing because of lag, they go in then out. Passing is the worse with ball going no where not even if your directly passing holding r1, due to the on going lag. I in bounded the ball only to hit the back of backboard because of lag and player position causing error.

It's like ai is over powered playing on God mode, agreed. They are on you even before you got the ball and then they steal from you due to lag if you are still to long or you rush into them and it will triggeres them to steal automatically. I think the balance on ai being so God mode contributed to the lag or the new real life engine but this was not there in the beginning on September 2018 beta or release. This has been slowly creeping in after many updates and minor bug fixes that EA silently injects before a big patch comes in via xmb.

Some one said they now play like a bumbling fool. I see alot of level 25 on Live Run like missing shot after shot or making bad passes. I now have changed my traits to get more speed to compensate the cheese EA is throwing at us but they silently patch and make it worse yet again or get a awful night of lag and it still plays bad. Sometimes you get low level players and it's unbearably due to the fact that even good players are mucking it up because of the lag.

I now use:

Windbreaker or Marathon Runner, Wind Spirit all of the time, and Catch & Release all of the time. I took off Statement dunker cuz no one is giving me the ball and I could dunk well enough being a Rim Protector and took off Relentless defender cuz I can still swat most dunks or layups under the rim. I need speed and better ball handling cuz I'm getting worked by ai all of the time. I am not creating another character. I like beine big but maybe I should have dropped my weight of 238 but I can work heavy players like Shack pretty good at this weight and not get push around.

It all depends on either other players Internet if they have a slow Internet cuz sometimes I see a bad lag and the game play slow down like matrix only to speed up like Benny Hill comedy skit. Maybe it's EA server or game is running on who ever is playing. I run a speed test on ps4 before I go in and get like 350+ mbps download topping at 408mbps and 18 mbps topping off at 22 mbps for upload. I have Netgear R8500 and it's wired to ps4 that how I know I'm at the best shape for gaming. I do other online game and don't have lag so it leads me to believe that something is wrong in NBA Live 2019. Please development look into this lag. More often game bugs are hurting online experience for us who play your live run already 6 months into it.

I think nba live 2019 has a faulty error that decreases your internet. I always do a base speed test on ps4 when I turn it on. I get about 385 mbps  to 400+ mbps download and 20 to 24 mbps upload.

Only on nba live 2019 do I get lan disconnection. I am hard wired and this does not happen with no other game. I don't remember if it occurred on nba Live 2018. Only with nba live 2019 do I start with 400+ mbps download and like 18+ mbps and get a lan disconnection. I then I have to go to my network settings in ps4 and uncheck manually to disconnect network and connect again and when I re-check my Internet speed with ps4 I now can only go 90 mbps and 10 mbps. 

I believe that this game throttles your internet speed and thus causes lag by slowing every ones internet. So if I have 400 and go down to 90 mbps, I wonder how a person with 200 or 100 mbps goes down to after getting lan disconnection 90mbps or less.

Again I only get this error of disconnected from lan on ps4 when nba live 2019 is running. Then I go from 385 mbps to 90mbps or less in a session of just turning on ps4 and then starting nba live 2019. No background download is occurring on ps4 like downloading a update for another game which was a possible reason for slowing Internet speed. I don't know if this is a thing I am only getting or every one else. I use a cat 7 ethernet cable and some ppl said ps4 likes better cat 5e or 6 but this error does not affect any other games I run that require online.

I just deal with it. At first I thought it was my cable which was some what used but last night it did it once more and it does not disconnects me from my laptop when I get disconnected from lan on ps4 so I don't know. Router, cable, ps4, nba live 2019. I don't have a problem with my router or cable or ps4 on other games but nba live 2019 having all these lag to ppl brings me to suspect that this game has a flaw that resets your Internet speed on your ps4 and throttles you so it creates lag universal to everyone playing.  Probably from that animation engine that nba live 2019 benefited from that nba live 2018 didn't have.

I know it sounds like a stretch, nba live 2019 game for ps4 is at fault but, this annoying bug as been with the game since September 2018. It might be my old cable also not blaming everything wrong on nba live 2019. For those on wifi only I wonder how is your speed test on ps4 before starting on ps4 and after the game starts? Also those on hard wired? Obviously if the game is in use then it would yield a slower interest speed on ps4 until you close the game out and run it with no applications open.

it gotten to the point where my dribble moves dont fully register causing me to do wierd hesitations all the time or simply stop moving. connection got better for me in February but now on lan in May (5/27/19)both my shot and dribbles slows ridiculously down then speeds up. it happens so frequently and at total random times causing me to make bad reads, late passes...u name it. I gave up 2k for live, dont loose the supporters who gave Live a chance.
