Ive had the same problem. This has been happening since the demo and Everytime you do an update. Madden19 has the same minor issue. Please fix soon. As no one is able to progress with this issue
And my router is wireless and I'm using PS4. Didn't have this issue on live 18
This has been happening to me since the demo. it was fixed after i got full game, then next update it started the error again. next update it worked now its back to NBA-DCFP error cannot connect. no other game have any connection issue, even other EA games. they said when it happened during the demo to delete save file and settings in the ps4 storage but this wiped out my the one player. not a big deal during the demo but now id rather not delete him unless its guaranteed to fix the issue.
You don't have to delete completely. You can make a backup of current character and settings for nba live 19 to cloud under settings / applications saved data management / Upload to Online Storage also do one for Copy to USB Storage Device and have a backup away from cloud that can't be over written by system because it's on usb. Then try out your theory and see if deleting your system data for nba live 19 makes a difference. If it does then your going to have to start all over with your character progress but it will work without error. Once you get a good outcome proceed to make 2 backups online and usb. If it doesn't work then you can always inject your USB backup back to system under Application Saved Data Management section in the Settings menu.
If you saved your data in the cloud, select Saved Data in Online Storage, followed by Download to System Storage,and select the specific game data you would like to transfer to the internal storage.
If your data was on a USB stick, select Saved Data on USB Storage Device, choose to Copy Data to System Storage, and select the specific game data you want to transfer over.

just tried it and still not working past 13% update. i deleted the game will try to reinstall but i doubt it will make a difference, ill just have to download data back from online storage but just seems sad this issue is still present. not sure what the issue is. what a bummer this game was fun and i was on the live bandwagon after 18 but this is game breaking. cant play online what a travesty..
UPDATE: Game is now reinstalled. same thing as before i downloaded my saved data from the cloud so should have it back now but still am in the same positon i was, cannot play online. i guess we just have to wait for another patch. it works when they issue a new patch but then im sure will lock up again after the next one.
Have you tried a wired connection to your ps4? Are you on Ps4 using a dmz to avoid nat firewall issues. What is your nat type like 1,2 or 3. I have digital copy and a netgear router hard wired using a dmz and I'm a nat type 2 and I can play online. Yeah game occasionally gave a blue screen error and sometimes it gets a error while playing that boots you off but that seldom. For the majority it plays online on ps4 so maybe it's your network and not game. Just hard to figure these things out with so many players using different equipment and settings but don't give up hope. If your using a disc I strongly suggest get a digital copy because laser gets read errors and disc get scratches.
Sorry for your ordeal. I know how frustrating it is after you have had high hopes for playing Live 19 only to hit a wall of disappointment.
Your just gonna have to work a little more than others to play but you can do it. Master your equipment and once you know how do it you'll own it. Try Google and YouTube and keep looking for answers until you find the resolution. I don't know it all but,I know somewhere in the world there is a answer and all you got to do is find it. Knowledge is freedom and you can't buy it you have to earn it.

Might be kind of a stretch but this last resorts stuff. Try getting internet from PC laptop or phone tethered to your ps4 either using hotspot, bridge, wired or wireless, vpn or not and see if it can bypass your situation...
Or go to friends who has a ps4 and Nba live 2019 working log into your account, get all updates then make a full backup of just nba live 2019 game and the saved data and restore full game and save data to your ps4 using a USB hd. Using backup and restore for full game and applications saved data management for your saves if your on ps4.
Or get a new hard drive either a USB external and try to install the game on that hard drive see if that's the problem. Maybe your hd has bad sectors and can't read past a certain position. You can always get a internal slim hd 2tb for console if that is the case. You might just have a portable hd that you have lying around with enough space to install your nba live 2019 game and see if it can get past the updating issues that way.
It's either internal like hd or external like internet, router. Game works fine for me. Don't know it matters that I have had it since September 2018 with all updates installed. I did have a ps4 crash back on November that I had to reinstall system firmware and redownload all games and Nba live 2019 installed fine. Had my backup saved data and injected it back to ps4 and it all works and is stable.
I can't stress enough to do a rebuild database from time to time to Defrag ps4 hd and fix speed and issues.

Have you players tried making a bridge with a laptop to your console to get the Internet from via your laptop.
Or used a proxy server which might help with nat types
Or using a phone to create a hotspot with console
Or used a VPN running off your laptop and either doing a wired or wireless connection to your console to be on a VPN playing.
This might be good to bypass some geo restrictions and allow you to change locations using a vpn on your console. Here are some examples...
Or if you have already a vpn subscription use connectify to make the connection from PC to console wired or wireless.
This one you have to pay its a hit or miss for ppl it vpn with ddos protection
All these methods are a bit of a hassle since it's much easier to just plug in a cable to your console or just use wifi but, it another way of testing to see if it helps with your connection to EA server by porting the Internet through another device to your console.
