Is this for online modes?
Yes sir the Live Run Shot meter has a heavy delay and it is not just me it’s everyone who been playing it
- EA_Blueberry5 years agoCommunity Manager@flightzilla Which platform do you play on and have you tried any connection troubleshooting from your end to see if things would improve? I'd imagine it's tough to make shots with delay like that.
If you are playing on a new T.V., double-check to make sure GAMING MODE is enabled on it. Most T.V. sets come with it disabled now which results in input lag if you have it disabled.
Here are connection troubleshooting steps, let me know if they helped out at all.
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/ I play on Xbox and I never enable it and it’s not my internet cuz I always have good connection and yes very especially for step backs or post shots and it’s not just me it’s been other people who said the same thing please fix it
- EA_Blueberry5 years agoCommunity Manager@flightzilla Can you try enabling Gaming mode on your T.V. to see if that removes the input delay? It's known to cause delay in games when it's not enabled.
I'm following this thread. I've switched my TV to gaming mode. My shot meter still does the same. I thought it was just me. I was in a party of 10 playing 5v5, we all were experiencing the same thing.

Is it only for that game mode or all of the online modes?

It's for online play. Live Run, Court Battles, Live Events as well. Yes I've troubleshooted. Hardwired to AT&T modem, same results even connecting hardwire to Comcast Modem. I do not play over WiFi, as the connection speed may vary, and could possibly cause lag. I've done a speed test to ensure proper speeds are being provided for online game play. I've also reset both modems. I've made sure was NAT was open also.

It can be downloaded via PC from the link I replied with above. It will show how your connection is exactly reaching our servers to determine if it's getting hung up somewhere on the path to them.
thank you for your help. I was on the phone with Comcast, and they were assisting with what you suggested, because we were trying to figure out if it was Comcast speeds or bad connection to the servers for EA. We did not find any packet losses, no latency in games loading. The Comcast rep also did some thing's on their end. We reset the modem, restarted the Xbox console, turned the TV off as well. However, after doing so, I did experience a minor issue with EA profile loading. The game took me to a 3v3 game with Shaq, AI, Vince, you know the first game you play while it loads. I thought I lost everything , but afterwards, everything as far as loading was fine. I played a short Live Run game in 3v3 and 5v5, the shot meter continued to bounce up and right back down with every shot. Free Throws are doing the same thing. So, I'm experiencing the same issues with the shot meter.
